Vision
Creating an environment for adults with mild-moderate intellectual disabilities to have an excellent quality of life.
Purpose
Enabling our residents and respite users to live full & meaningful lives where they are valued, active & contributing members of their chosen communities.
Mission
To support our residents and respite users achieve their full potential living in their community. Our mission is expanded further below by outlining what we do and how we do it. We also outline where we believe key growth areas for the future. These are reflected in our strategic goals.
History
Founded in the late 1970’s, a support group was established which provided a meeting place/focus point for parents and friends of people with intellectual disabilities.
In time the group turned its attention to the prospect of the providing Respite Care. They secured a loan to buy a suitable property (St. Oliver’s, Commons Road, Navan). The company purchased this property in 1982. The set-up and preparation for occupation was all done on a voluntary basis, with local companies donating a lot of the contents.
The company has developed over the years and currently has 10 residential houses, one respite service and one apartment. Clann Mór supports a number of individuals with intellectual disabilities to live independently in their home. We hope to develop some new services in the near future.
Residents are supported to live the best life they can.
