Pass the Baton of Kindness Challenge
Begins 13th November 2021…

Thank you so much for your interest in the Clann Mór ‘Pass the Baton of Kindness Challenge’.

Clann Mór was set up in the late 1970’s, initially as a support group for family and friends of people with intellectual disabilities.

As time passed, it became evident that there was a requirement within this group and their families to provide a level of respite care to support families. At the time, parents were commonly advised to seek institutional placement, which could take years and allowed limited family interaction.

There, started a journey by a small but determined group of individuals whose ambition was to create an environment where people with intellectual disabilities could live independently and safely in the community.

The first house, St Oliver’s, Commons Road, Navan was purchased by this group of volunteers in 1982, by means of a loan, fundraising and furnished by donations by local businesses.

This original house has served the community exceptionally well over the last 40 years, but as with all properties, it is now in need of some TLC.

The current group of volunteering board member are looking to raise funding to upgrade the insulation to 2021 standards.

With that in mind, Clann Mór are launching the ‘Pass the Baton Kindness Challenge’

We are asking for a donation of €10 or more which can be made by clicking here

It is the simple things that matter, please see below some suggestions;

  • Doing the washing up without being asked
  • Sending your Granny a letter
  • Calling or Zooming someone who may be feeling lonely
  • Playing a game with your little brother or sister
  • Leaving someone a parking ticket (if there is still time left on it) 😊

It could be anything, all we ask is that you try and bring a smile to someone’s face.

We can’t wait to see pictures of you spreading the Kindness in the name of Clann Mór.
