Fundraising
Clann Mór is a registered charity. We receive most of our funding from the HSE through a Service Level Arrangement. However, we do fundraise for particular projects, activities and initiatives to improve the quality of life for people who live with us and who use our respite service.
We are always looking for support in this area. If you would like to support the work of Clann Mór please log onto our Facebook page @clannmormeath, call 046 -9022079 or write to Director of Services, Clann Mór House, Commons Road, Navan, Co. Meath or email info@clannmor.ie
Camino 2026 – Are You Up For The Challenge?
Walk with Purpose – Clann Mór’s Camino 2026 Trek 5th – 12th of September 2026
Some journeys change your perspective. Others change lives.
In September 2026, Clann Mór invites you to take part in a truly special adventure—an unforgettable trek along the Camino de Santiago, where every step brings us closer to empowering people with intellectual disabilities in County Meath.
For centuries, pilgrims from across the world have walked the Camino Francés, forging friendships, embracing personal reflection, and discovering resilience they never knew they had. In early September, you’ll be part of this tradition, walking 110km from Sarria to Santiago, alongside fellow fundraisers, supporters, and changemakers—all united for one important cause.
Why Walk the Camino?
The Camino isn’t just about the breathtaking Spanish countryside, or the historic towns dotted along the way. It’s about community, purpose, and making a difference.
Since the 1970s, Clann Mór has been committed to providing residential and respite care to people with intellectual disabilities, helping them live independently, exercise choice, and lead meaningful lives within their communities. As the demand for our services grows, we want to **expand our housing and support more people—but we need your help**.
Your participation in this trek will contribute directly to Clann Mór’s goal of purchasing a new home for those in need—**your footsteps will pave the way for their future**.
What’s in Store?
Over seven days, you will walk the final 110km of the Camino, following winding trails, lush forests, and centuries-old cobbled paths into the heart of Santiago de Compostela. Let’s make the Camino 2026 a journey of hope, inclusion, and lasting impact.
Charitable Donation Scheme
Donations of €250 or over are eligible for tax relief regardless whether you are a PAYE Tax Payer or Self-Assessed.
A new “blended” rate of 31% will be applied to all donations of €250 and more regardless of the donor’s actual tax rate, thus valuing all donations from the public equally. That means that your donation of €250 is actually worth €362 to Clannmor Residential & Respite CLG – at no extra cost to you!
For example, Joe makes a cash donation of €250 to Clannmor in the tax year 2019. Under the Tax Relief Scheme Clannmor is deemed to have received a donation of €362.32 (i.e. €250 grossed up at 31%) less tax deducted of €112.32.
On the assumption that Joe has paid income tax for 2019 of at least €112.32, Clannmor can obtain a refund of that amount from Revenue after the end of the tax year 2019.
There is no change to Corporate Tax Relief – companies continue to treat donations as a normal business expense and there is no upper limit to the amount that can be donated.
To enable Clannmor to reclaim the tax, you must complete a CHY4 Certificate. Click on the link to download: https://www.revenue.ie/en/companies-and-charities/documents/charities/chy4-annual-certificate.pdf
